Job Description
This equity management firm is seeking an investment analyst to join its global private markets team for its newly formed joint venture with a Fortune 25 Company's Investment Management arm. The private markets team manages a $6 billion portfolio of venture capital, leveraged buyouts, mezzanine debt and distressed investments. The position will be based out of Greenwich, CT and may require some travel to New York City. Candidate must be able to start as soon as possible.

Job Description:
Provide analytical support for potential new investments in partnerships and direct deals, strategy formulation, as well as for the ongoing monitoring of existing investments.

Creation and manipulation of financial models.

Screening of potential new investments-summary write-ups of new deals, entry of new deals into databases.

Assist investment due diligence by scheduling and participating on reference calls, analyzing track records, and accessing research databases such as First Call, Factset, Venture Economics.

Preparation of written analysis and recommendation.

Participation in quarterly reviews helping to formulate group strategy.

Ad-hoc performance analysis to support client information requests.

Suggest and execute new processes for more efficient research practices, data warehousing, and reporting.

Candidate Profile

Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, or related quantitative area (Required) - MBAs will be considered

Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Required)

Self motivated, ability to work independently in collaborative, dynamic environment (Required)

Attention to detail and emphasis on accuracy through process (Required)

Knowledge of investments, financial analysis (Required)

Experience with private investments (Preferred)
