Comptroller - Transportation Company

Scope and Responsibility
Assist in the administration of the Partnership and affiliated entities including compliance with regulations and rules: capital contributions, custodial functions, distributions to investors, payments of fees, Tax returns, and other financial matters. Assume responsibility for certain areas over time. Responsible for preparing quarterly and annual GAAP financial statements for the Partnership and affiliated entities. Responsible for preparing the draft reports to Investors and coordinating annual audits. Assume over time the interface with the financial and administrative Investor representatives. Monitor ownership documents for investments. Prepare and monitor the financial reporting of investments. Assume over time the responsibility for maintaining contacts with Bankers, Accountants, Tax Advisors, Auditors, Attorneys and Brokers.

Background Required
Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in a private equity or other investment firm Experience in accounting and administration of Limited Partnerships preferred, but not required. Experience in a public accounting firm preparing financial statements or tax returns of Limited Partnership, LLC and Corporate regulations (including understanding of tax issues) preferred but not required. Good working knowledge of Excel and other presentation applications. Detail oriented, autonomous and a self-starter.
