Denis Curran began his career with the Irish Development Authority in Los Angles. He was promoted and relocated to New York City with the purpose of introducing US Corporations to the benefits of operating in Ireland.

In September 1989, Denis was hired by the US Branch of Bank of Ireland. In 1991, he was named head of the US operation of the Asset Management operation with the purpose of raising asset levels for management in Ireland. In 1999, Denis was named President of the International operations with operating responsibility for USA, UK, Continental Europe, Australia and Japan. Asset under management grew ten fold to $29.8 billion in 2004. Denis decided to take early retirement in 2005. Denis had direct operating responsibility for 115 professionals around the world and 75% of the Bank of Ireland Asset Management profit.

Denis was born in Belfast Ireland and currently resides in Greenwich, CT with his wife and three daughters. Denis is active in many social and civic organizations.
